CONTROL SOLUTION - Medicare Part B Coverage allows you to receive a Control Solution with each shipment we provide you.

When & How to Use Control Solution:
Control solution is used to test the accuracy of your meter and test strips. Applied to a test strip, control solution confirms that the meter's test results are in the expected range printed on the test strip vial. Control solution tests should be performed at least once a week, every time a new vial of test strips is opened, and whenever you suspect the meter or test strips may not be functioning properly. Using the control solution is also recommended for teaching or learning how to test with your blood glucose meter.

LANCETS - Medicare Part B coverage allows you to receive 100 lancets each month if you are on insulin & 100 lancets every 90 days for non insulin users.
To minimize the pain of testing, change lancet after every use to ensure the least painful puncture. Lancets become dull and painful when re-used.

LANCING DEVICE - Medicare Part B coverage allows you to receive a new lancing device every six months.
To minimize the pain of testing, you should obtain a new lancing device every 6 months to ensure the least painful puncture. Lancing device springs become weak overtime and cause your testing to become painful.

Important note: If your doctor recommends that you test more often than the guidelines allow for, he or she can authorize you to get more products that are reimbursed by Medicare. The prescription will need to authorize the number of times a day you should be testing, and the reasons why he or she recommends more testing. Advanced Diabetes Supply will contact your doctor and get the prescription for you.
